Betty Jean Covert, 80, of Nelsonville, was carried home by her heavenly father, Sunday, February 7, 2010 at Homestead Care and Rehab Center, Lancaster. She was born January 16, 1930 in Kentucky, daughter of the late Millard Moreland and Lela Pitchford Woods. She was married to the late Robert E. Covert for 57 years.
She is survived by a daughter, Pam Whittington of Pleasantville; a granddaughter, Lacey Fisk Cook (Garrett and Taelor Fowler) of Baltimore; a grandson, Cory Fisk (Brittany Vermillion) of Lancaster; a great grandson, Aiden Fisk and a special friend Thelma Hillyer of New Straitsville.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, February 11, 2010 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Pastor Joel Seymour officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call Thursday from 12:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
