John T. Dye Sr., 57, of New Marshfield, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2010 at O'Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens. He was born February 15, 1951 in Fairmont, West Virginia, son of the late Burie L. and Alice M. Wood Dye. John was married to Delores Patterson Dye, who survives of New Marshfield.
John is survived by sons, John Dye Jr. and Zack Dye of New Marshfield; daughters, Alice Allbaugh of New Marshfield and Debbie (Jerry Allbaugh) Fleming of Princeton, West Virginia; twelve grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brothers, Allen (Debbie) Dye of Logan, Ronnie Dye of Athens, Bill (Carla) Dye of Carbondale, Chuck (Betty) Dye of Logan, Bill (Marlene) Dye Warren and Jeffrey Dye of Garrettsville; sisters, Karen Barnett of Logan, Rita Estep of Albany, JoAnn Matheny of Nelsonville, Janet Henderson of Carbondale and Roberta Fannin of Nelsonville and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard Dye, Burie Dye Jr. and Michael Woods and sisters, Mary Stevens and Shirley Dye.
Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Friday, February 12, 2010 in the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville. Cremation will follow the service. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, from 11 A.M. until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville, Ohio 45764, to help with funeral expenses.
