Nolan Warren Love, 89, of Athens, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at Hickory Creek Nursing Center in The Plains. He was born December 16, 1920 in Lodi Township, Athens County, Ohio, son of the late Clifford and Edith Burleigh Love. Nolan was married to the late Mary Steinmetz Love.
He was a retired bricklayer, a WWII Army Veteran and a coonhunter.
Nolan is survived by a son, Ronald (Jill Annette) Love of Nelsonville; daughters, Nola Jean Lloyd of Columbus and Connie (David Darnell) Love of Athens; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers, George and Harold Love and a sister, Bernice Bobo.
Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Saturday, February 13, 2010 in the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville. Interment will be in Clarks Chapel Cemetery, Athens County. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, from 11 A.M. until the time of the service.
