Alice Jean Lash, 79, of Newark, passed away Monday, February 22, 2010 at Heath Nursing Care Center in Newark. She was born March 7, 1930 in Athens County, daughter of the late Elza and Evelyn Ossman Miller.
Alice is survived by a son, John Curtis Lash of Newark; a daughter, Karen (Ernest) Crozier of Newark; grandchildren, Michael Lash, Larry McHaffie, Ernest Crozier Jr., Shawn Crozier, Brandon Crozier, Megan Crozier and Tara Peasant; great grandchildren, Michael Curtis Lash II, Jonathan Joe Lash, Chelsie Marie Lash and Alexis Peasant and sisters, Doris (Paul) Raver of Florida and Marilyn (Danny) Hitchings of Kentucky.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Alan Lash; daughter, Gail Lash; sister, Ruth Warren and brother, Alan Lash.
Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Saturday, February 27, 2010 in the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Pastor Mike Thomas officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, from 12 noon until the time of the service.
