Twila G. Rose, 88, of McArthur, passed away Monday, March 8, 2010. She was born February 19, 1922 in Vinton County, daughter of the late Ross L. and Opal Peck Graves. Twila was the widow of the late Raymel George Rose.
She was a member of the McArthur United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women's Group.
Twila is survived by her children, Sue (David) Massie of Wellston, Tamara (Scott) Hughes of Piketon, Richard (Lavania) Rose of McArthur and Timothy Rose of McArthur; stepchildren, Gayle (Charles) Young of McArthur, Sharon (Robert) Thompson of Columbus and Robert (Sue) Rose of Wellston; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren; sisters, Rhea Gregory of Guernsey, Wyoming and Patricia Savage of McArthur and a brother, Ralph (Ann) Graves of Chillicothe.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her stepson, Gary Rose; brothers, Roy, Robert and Ray Graves.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Thursday, March 11, 2010 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur with Rev. Dr. Walt Goble officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 4-8 P.M.
